INSPECTION OF EQUIPMENT: It is strongly recommended that all interested parties inspect the equipment
thoroughly before an offer to purchase is submitted. Major or minor defects may or may not be noted. Other defects may exist and it is your responsibility to verify the functional ability of each piece of equipment.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL: The equipment is sold “AS IS” and “WHERE IS” without warranty either expressed or implied. No warranties are offered. The City may withdraw an item at any time from the auction sale. The City of Auburn Hills assumes no liability for inaccurate or erroneous descriptions contained in any descriptive material pertaining to the auctioned equipment.
The equipment may be inspected at the City of Auburn Hills DPS, located at 1500 Brown Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326, on April 1st - 3rd, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. only. You must check in at the front office before you enter to inspect the equipment. Ask for Diane Skinner. Test drives will not be permitted.
LIABILITY: The equipment is sold “as is” and “where is” without warranty either expressed or implied (meaning the condition and the location is final and you are offering to purchase the equipment based on its current condition and location). No warranties are offered. If you are unclear about any condition of this sale, you should contact Diane Skinner of the Fleet Division for clarification at 248-364-6901. All sales will be final. The City may withdraw an item at any time from the auction.
PAYMENT: A pre-arranged appointment with Diane Skinner will be required in order to arrange for payment and pick-up of the equipment.
The awarded bid amount for the equipment must be paid in full prior to pick-up. Payment will be accepted in the form of cash, money order, certified or cashiers check, payable to The City of Auburn Hills. Payment will be made at The City of Auburn Hills Treasurers Office, which is located at 1827 N. Squirrel Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326.
PICK UP: Once the equipment has been paid for, the successful bidder is solely responsible for removal of said equipment. The awarded bidder must bring the title or a letter authorizing pick-up from the awarded bidder, to the Department of Public Services (1500 Brown Road) in order to pick up any equipment. The equipment will be removed at the risk and expense of the purchaser. The equipment must be loaded without City staff participation. No assistance will be provided by the City of Auburn Hills. Pick up must occur between the hours of 8am - 3pm, Monday through Friday unless other arrangements are specifically agreed to between the parties.
PICK-UP TIME LIMIT: If the equipment is not picked up within 7 business days after the auction expiration date and time, the City of Auburn Hills reserves the right to retain the equipment and re-list it for auction and block the bidder from future auctions.
