City staff members are not allowed to assist winning bidder with loading of the item in their vehicle. Do not bid on this item unless you are able to bring enough assistance to load it yourself.

TERMS OF SALE
Time Limit: The item must be paid for and picked up within 7 business days from the date of the invoice. If an item is not paid for within the time limit, the auction will be rescinded and the bidder will be blocked from bidding on Novi’s surplus auction items in the future. The City reserves the right to retain the item and re-list it on the auction.
An appointment must be made 24 hours in advance of the time the winning Buyer would like to come to pay for and pick up the item, otherwise we may not be able to facilitate the pickup. If Buyer comes without an appointment and is not able to pick up the item, they will not be granted extra time to pick it up. The 7 day time limit still applies.
Bidders who pay for but fail to pick up an item within the time specified will forfeit the item. No refunds will be made. The City of Novi reserves the right to re-post the item for auction or otherwise dispose of it.
Sales Tax: All items sold will be charged the applicable State of Michigan Sales Tax (currently 6%).
Sales Tax Exemption: If your business entity is exempt from payment of sales tax, you must provide a copy of the exemption certificate at the time of payment or you will be charged the applicable State of Michigan Sales Tax.
Liability: All items are sold “As Is” and “Where is” without warranty either expressed or implied. Condition of this property is used and untested to any degree. Therefore, the City of Novi offers no warranty whatsoever as to the condition or fitness for any use or purpose.
All sales will be final. No refunds will be issued after buyer pays for an item. Descriptions are believed to be accurate. The City of Novi assumes no liability for inaccurate or erroneous descriptions contained in any descriptive material pertaining to the auctioned items.
The City of Novi may withdraw an item at any time from the auction sale. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The Seller accepts Cashier’s Check or Cash only. All items purchased must be paid in full before the item may be picked up. We do not accept debit cards, credit cards, personal checks, or company checks.
Purchaser must make an appointment 24 hours in advance of the time they would like to make payment and pick up item(s). Please email email@example.com to arrange an appointment. All prearranged appointments must be scheduled and item(s) picked up within 7 business days of the invoice date.
Payment is to be made to the City of Novi at 45175 Ten Mile Rd., Novi, MI 48375. Payments are accepted Monday – Friday from 8 am - 4 pm only.
Items must be picked up within 7 business days of the invoice date. Pickup time is Monday – Friday (on days the City offices are open), before 4 pm after payment is made at the address above.
All purchased items are to be removed at the risk and expense of the purchaser.
Items must be picked up in person with a valid picture I.D. and a “Paid” invoice.
Mailing/delivery services cannot be provided.
If bidder sends an agent to pick up the equipment and/or items, in addition to receipt of payment in full, the agent must have the following documentation prior to the release of any equipment and/or items:
1. A valid driver’s license in his/her name and,
2. An original NOTARIZED statement from the bidder appointing the individual as his/her agent and authorizing the agent to sign the Certificate of Title as Purchaser and agent of the bidder.”
