Liability:  The item offered for sale and its description has been compiled from available data, there is no guaranty of warranty on the part of the City of Roseville relative thereto as to quantity, kind character, description, condition, and suitability for use in which it may be desired or in any other respect whatsoever.  All material is sold “as is and where is,” and must be removed at Purchaser’s risk and expense.  All sales will be Final.  The City may withdraw an item at any time from the auction sale.  The City of Roseville assumes no liability for inaccurate or erroneous descriptions contained in any descriptive material pertaining to the auctioned equipment. 

Payment:  All vehicles purchased must be paid in full prior to pick-up.  Payment will be accepted in the form of cash, certified or cashiers check, payable to The City of Roseville.  Payment will be made at The City of Roseville Purchasing Office, which is located at 29777 Gratiot Ave., Roseville, MI 48066.  Applicable State sales tax will be charged form the Secretary of State when title is transferred.  A appointment with Paul VanDamme, 586-445-5425 will be required in order to arrange for payment of the vehicle(s).

Tax Exemption:  If a governmental entity, school or car dealer is the successful bidder, a tax exemption form will be required before the item can be removed from the premises.

Title:  Titles will only be issued in the name(s) of the person of persons listed as the awarded bidder on the surplus auction site.  Without exception the selling price of vehicle will be listed on the title by the City Clerk’s Office.  It will be the successful bidder’s responsibility to transfer the title. 

If bidder sends an agent to pick up the equipment and/or items, in addition to receipt of payment in full, the agent must have the following documentation prior to the release of equipment and/or items:  (1) a valid driver's license in his/her name and, (2) an original NOTARIZED statement from the bidder appointing the individual as hi/her agent and authorizing the agent to sign the Certificate of Title as Purchaser and agent of the bidder.

Pick-Up:  Call Gary Bierl at 586-445-5470 to make arrangements for pick-up.  All equipment is to be removed at the risk and expense of the purchaser.  The equipment must be removed without City staff participation. 

Pick-Up Time Limit:  If the vehicles are not picked up within 10 business days after the auction expiration date and time, the City of Roseville reserves the right to retain the vehicle and re-list it for auction and block the bidder from future auctions.

NOTE:  A 5% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the final sale price.
